A Life with Trees did a great job on a pine tree, a weeping birch, and 2 bushes in our yard, and came in under budget. They were careful not to trim too much - the trees look healthy and so much better. I’m very pleased!

I learned about "A Life With Trees" after a few of their folks were at a "Firewise" presentation in Parkdale in June 2025 (the day of the Rowena fire, actually). People had lots of postive comments from them, and because our former arborist had left the area, I decided to try them out based on solid reviews.

From the first contact (a request for quote made via their website) they responded very quickly, and scheduled a walk-through of the yard. We've got more than 50 trees on the property (a mix of oak, Doug Firs, Ponderosa pines, etc), and we're concerned about habitat and preservation (esp for the oaks) but also for fire mitigation and safety. The review was done professionally, we got a quote that seemed reasonable, and the work was done today.

The crew was also very professional, and Ryan (owner) came a few times to consult about a few trees where a slightly different pruning or removal decision might be needed. I was impressed by their care for the trees and the knowledge, but also by the thorough cleanup afterwards, and the care taken of non-tree things like benches, bird baths, and even a small memorial to a recently-deceased pet. The trees clearly look better, but NOT "topped" or pruned into unhealthy stumps. Totally satisifed, and definitely will have them return in the spring.

Great experience with A Life With Trees. I had a few large beetle killed trees in my yard, close to buildings and Ryan, Brian, and Spencer did a great job with everything. From initial contact, Spencer's evaluation (super helpful and informative - beyond just my problem trees), logistical planning with Ryan, and the whole gang coming out to make it happen - everything worked safely and seamlessly. The team was super friendly, conscientious, efficient, and effective. They immediately got to work and did a fantastic job - again offering excellent customer service, great work, and lots of helpful information. On time, fast, efficient. Knowledge and worked safely. Had them take down 3 dead Cottonwood trees that were potential hazards to the house.

The crew did a GREAT job taking out 2 large Spruce trees in our yard that were dangerously close to our wooden deck and our neighbors Arborvitae hedge. They also trimmed our neighbors large cherry tree while keeping the shape & health of the tree (it's a beautiful pollinator). We will A Life With Trees again for an enormous, old Black Walnut that needs professional limbing - it overhangs our driveway and the street. We are recommending this crew to our neighbors who have similar concerns with highly flammable trees and trees that are too large for a FireWise neighborhood.

Great job on Tree removal!

I've worked with Life with Trees for two seasons, and watched them in our neighborhood for several more. Their knowledge of decorative tree species, and expertise in pruning to promote healthy growth gives me a lot of confidence in their suggestions. And when it comes to winter storm produced widow makers in the very large fir trees around our house, they drop limbs from any height and never damage the landscaping around the base.

Had a crew out at my house yesterday. They got everything accomplished and were happy to jump on a few small changes I requested. Super professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Extremely happy with the work.

I cannot stress enough how incredible Ryan and his crew are. They take keeping our trees healthy and vibrant extremely seriously. The whole crew is incredibly polite, helpful and accommodating. They work quickly, clean up so well you might forget they were at your property, and best of all - do a fantastic job of not trampling on your hard won landscaping and flowers. These guys are the best! We have a diseased walnut tree that we are trying to save so I contacted someone who advertised as arborist, but didn’t really have those credentials. He said they would need to bring in a crane so they could take down big branches and would have to remove the nearby willow tree as it was in the way, and we would be responsible for removing all of the dead branches and debris.
These guys not only scaled the walnut and removed the dead branches, they saved the willow, crowned it and removed all of the dead branches and left our yard clean and green, all for the same price. Really happy with their work!
